Ultra Music Festival celebrated its 20th anniversary this past weekend with performances from Swedish House Mafia, Virtual Self, The Chainsmokers and more. 

It seemed to go off without a hitch, however, there was a gun-related incident that was luckily avoided thanks to Ultras determination to provide a safe weekend for attendees. On an post over the weekend, a man Rayne posted a holding a high-powered rifle. There was also an additional handgun with a silencer on the table next to him. traveled to from Jamaica for the festival and was posing with a family members legally-owned firearms.

captioned the photo ”Ready for the weekend.” His hashtags included ”#tgif,” ”#ultramusicfestival” and ”#mmw2018.”  Ultras security quickly noticed the post and alerted authorities.

Police quickly tracked down Rayne, who was taken into custody and question. Authorities determined that posed no credible threat; was said to be released following the event on Sunday. 

Ray Martinez, head of Ultras security team, recalled October 2017s Las Vegas massacre in relatoin to the incident.

”Really? Right after the Vegas incident happened? We met together with the Police Department and started our planning right from that moment and looked at the lessons learned ”” what you can learn from those incidences.”

Ultra put a number of security measures in place to keep attendees out of harm this year. The festival took place March 23-25 in Miami, Floridas Bayfront Park.
