The individual sides of a black and white cookie are each lovable in their own right, sure, but there’s no denying the cookie’s enduring legacy as a two-sided masterclass in flavor. The same could be said for progressive house and techno pioneers Sasha and John Digweed, who first stamped their collaborative mark on the club world some 20 years ago. The British pairing split amicably in 2002, deciding to pursue their own solo initiatives, likely before outgrowing themselves as a group.
Over time the pair have reconvened for special shows, and the next occasion is finally upon us. Sasha and Digweed will be crossing paths again as the duo makes their debut at The Brooklyn Mirage on July 26. The rare joint set is expected to highlight the track selection and technical mixing skills that carried the DJ and production team to the top of dance music’s Mt. Olympus in the late 90s. This will be John Digweed’s first return to NYC since his dazzling 10 hour (!!!) sendoff to the Williamsburg’s Output on the first of this year.
Tickets for the event are on sale here.
