“Just in time for summer, all airy and bright in just the right way.” – USA Today

“Buoyant, hazy synths lull the meditative track in, while its thumping, dance floor ready beat pulls the listener forward… The perfect kiss off to summer.” – Billboard

, the moniker of Australian producer, Aaron Shanahan, has returned to delight his fans with his delicate new ‘Just ’, the first offering from his sophomore EP to be release on Sweat It Out. With a fresh take on his songwriting, Sunday feelings of , loneliness, and longing, all of which are divinely captured in the refined melancholy production.

Where he wrote his debut EP for the Sunday project in the Californian desert, Aaron mused his way through Berlin for his new works in an attempt to put a different pen to paper than before. Lovingly calling it his “Berlin bootcamp”, Aaron was forced to branch out from what he had become accustomed to in his own musicality, with the result being another compelling display from the Aussie native, and a sublime taste of what’s to come on the forthcoming EP.

“I went to Berlin to seclude myself in a new and different culture. I wanted to immerse myself in it’s artistic energy and focus on creating something very vulnerable in the music I was making. This EP and ‘Just Because’ is a result of exploring the nature of raw feelings and vulnerable thoughts. ‘Just Because’ came to me as a full chorus in the shower. I was thinking about the nature of being with someone you love and wanting the relationship to work but it not being enough in how it functions.” – Sunday.

Whether through his years with iconic indie-pop band Miami Horror, or his time as part of Wunder Wunder, and now with his solo project Sunday, the ideology for Aaron has always been the same – to learn, to enjoy, to create. With each of the projects, offering new and exciting experiences. His time with Miami Horror has led him to playing shows across Europe, Asia, North America and South America, including shows at some of the most prestigious festivals including Coachella Arts and Music Festival, and Primavera. And in a few short years, has toured the Sunday project alongside the likes of Phoenix, Crystal Fighters, Washed Out, Empire of the Sun and collaborated with Goldroom, Gigamesh, Saint Lou Lou, George Maple and many more. Having designed a brand new live show for his recent performances in Mexico, Aaron soon hopes to bring the experience home to his Australian fans.

Sunday’s new single ‘Just Because’ is out now on Sweat It Out.
