Hailing from Helsinki Roberto Rodriguez is a true pillar of the house scene. He has been producing since 1987 and Djing since shortly after that. During the following decades he has built up a huge reputation via his various projects as a producer of huge skill.
For his latest release he is back with his third EP for the excellent Poetry In Motion label. Rain Dance is packed with four excellent original cuts along with a instrumental version.
Title track Rain Dance is a future classic. Wonderfully powerful synths, Detroit-esque drums and plenty of energy all make this an undeniable peak time dance-floor smash.
Our premier today Pride is deeper still. It’s bass-line throbs and morphs filling the speakers as percussive notes make sure those feet can’t stand still. This is another track aimed firmly at the dancefloor.
I’ll be there has more than a touch of 90’s New York about it. Feel good vibes abound as synths and soulful vocal stabs combine beautifully before an ever so tropical breakdown adds to the smiles.
The final track What You Put Me Through comes with both vocal and instrumental versions. It’s another beautifully produced track with a vast reservoir of dance-floor energy.
