In this “Catch a New Wav,” we interview the musical duo of Digitalz.


France-based producers Thibault Hisquin and Adrien Baudin joined forces to form the Digitalz project a little over four years ago. Merging their rich background as musicians and producers, the Digitalz project stemmed from their multi-genre influences of rock, hip-hop, and pop as they merge together in the electronic music realm. Adrien has been a music and hip-hop DJ for over ten years now and Thibault has also been a music producer for well over a decade, working with a variety of different artists in the electronic music realm. As they focus their attention to their new project, the future holds endless possibilities for this new chapter.

They launched the Digitalz project with the intention of exploring various sounds and fusing genres together. Their debut single ‘Don’t Need You’ was in 2017 and was shortly up by their coveted ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ remix which received staunch from Axwell and David Guetta across multiple festival stages. In 2019, they released their single ‘Sweet Dreams which provided another mesmerizing glimpse into their venerated studio prowess.

Taking some time to hone their signature style, Digitalz has spent the past few years crafting their debut album. Capitalizing on rock sensibilities as well as pop elements, the duo blends an array of genres into cinematic electronic-forward . The aim with the Digitalz project is to fully immerse the listener into an otherworldly universe including surreal visuals and larger-than-life .

Preparing for the most monumental moment in the Digitalz project thus far, the French duo gear up for the release of their debut studio album. Stirring anticipation with a of lead singles including ‘Ritual’, ‘Invisible’, and ‘Beg For It’, the listener is to experience their genre-bending signature sound ahead of the album release. With a distinct style and years of experience to boast, Digitalz is set for a sharp trajectory in the electronic music space.

We sit with the duo to learn more about them.

Q: Who are some of your musical influences?
A: Hey guys! Thanks for having us. I think that the artists that have shaped us the most are Axwell, Pink Floyd, and Kanye West.

Q: What’s your favorite part about being a musician? 
A: Hangovers are allowed on a Tuesday.

Q: Who is somebody you always wanted to work with (living or deceased)?
A: We’d love to be in the studio with creative geniuses like Skrillex for example.

Q: To date, what’s your most music moment?
A: For us, it is Axwell premiering our Bohemian Rhapsody remix at Tomorrowland without even telling us. He really is a role model for us so it was a huge moment.

Q: What does the immediate future hold for you in your artistic career?
A: Our debut album is dropping out next month.
