After a busy start to 2017 and a quiet few months to recover we are pleased to present another BTHC dance initiative and the return of our first guest, Melbourne’s "Italo Disco” master, Hysteric! We’re teaming up with Laruche based disco party LOLA to bring the sounds of Hysteric to your ears and feet in the intimate loft space. Transport yourself into a two level world of sound and sense. FRESCO PER TUTTI (Fresh for everyone)

Hysteric has kept busy since he graced our fine city, pushing his edits and label to dizzying heights. His brand of exciting and classy edits have brought music from eras and subcultures once forgotten, igniting them with an energy that brings the music back into the hearts and minds of today. Staying true to his style on another red hot release on BTHC favourite Public Possession and new forays into Parisian Labels Edits du Plasir and Fuego International.

His label Mothball Record which focuses on re-releasing unknown Italian gems has taken to Italo supergroup “Plustwo", reissuing their cult classic “Melody”. The meticulous nature of Hysteric’s restoration of the original testaments his love and energy for the music. This energy is also seen in his record digging and relentless DJ sets which after last March left us begging for another taste.

Those Restless Beat boys and BTHC Deejays got you covered for some extra spicy trimmings upstairs in the Bad Taste Fresco per Tutti discoteca. Main dude Dan Mumbles, GC homies Buff Girls and Brisbabe Emma Stevenson getting sweaty in LOLA's Liberazione room downstairs. Bring your dancing feet and don’t be afraid to use them. 🔊 12.45pm - 1.30pm - Sheila Ferguson Yoga Ft. Andy Dub
Sheila Ferguson Yoga Ft Andy Dub
Sheila Ferguson Yoga Ft Andy Dub is a sublime meeting of movement and music. Combining, yoga, dance, rhythms and soundscapes to create a unique and uplifting experience.

🔊 Sheila Ferguson Yoga
Ten years ago I first stepped on to a yoga mat, and these days I call it home. For me, yoga makes my body feel alive, allows my mind to settle, and gives me a chance to clear and recharge. Striving for a balance between softness and strength, I use words, the body, and the breath to help students tap into themselves. With a background in Anusara, I provide a focus on the beauty and delight the world holds, and finding the highest self in all experiences, bodies, and challenges that life has to offer. My aim is to challenge your mind and your body to find expansion, and to inspire you to bring the freedom and fullness you feel on the mat, into your life and world.

🔊 Andy Dub
Andy Dub has been a regular on the underground circuit for the past decade and has turned his musical attention inwards to find the perfect synergy between the mind, body and soul through his music. You could treat their set as a yoga session, a dance session, a mediation session or a aural experience........... what you take from it is up to you.

🔊 1.30pm - 2.15pm - Afrogalactic
Ben Ahern aka Afrogalactic: Director of Afro Tours and Co-founder of Praxis Australia and Manifest Festival. Ben is mainly found out in weird and wonderful places playing a variety of jingles to get ya Jangling. Varieties including but not limited to include Liquid Drum & Bass, Jungle, Breaks and Ragga infused Dubsteps! Playing sets usually around Brisbane but occasionally travelling to NSW, Nth Qld, Vic & Overseas he has been finding it hard to keep the sets to one specific genre! Instead aiming to expand people's taste and opinions on stuff they only talk about not listen to, as well as reminding them of the classic tunes that got you hooked in the first place!

🔊 2.15pm - 3.00pm - Cutloose presents Cut & Cook (Vego Cookup)
Cutloose: the one-man party mash-up machine, musical ninja and commander of any party adventure. A versatile dj with one mode - Party. Wither it be his high-energy mash-up party sets, inventive and interactive Wheel of Genre club show or Cut & Cook a specialty show incorporating music and cooking. Cutloose is not one to be pigeonholed into any one genre. Hip Hop, Bass, Moombahton, Dubstep, Electro, Rock, Indie and everything and anything Funky.

🔊 3.00pm - 3.45pm - Elektro Panda
Kirrin Fisher is known for DJ sets that make the people move. Starting off as a familiar face on the Brisbane dance music scene and affectionately known to friends as ‘Panda’, it wasn’t long before her love of Electro and the cute moniker merged and Elektropanda was born. Elektropanda has played a variety of underground gigs, private parties, bars, clubs and outdoor parties such as Sound Flower, Dark forest, Moontopia, Autumn Equinox, Tropical Fruits and Earth Frequency. Elektropanda’s current repertoire includes Electro House, Deep House, Tech House, Commercial House, Nu Disco, Glitch Hop, Techno and Fidget.

🔊 3.45pm - 4.30pm - Steve Saint
Steve Saint prides himself with attention to detail, precision
and musical craftsmanship, all without losing sight of emotional impact and themes. His musical pedigree veers strongly from the typical path of the modern electronic musician; a classically trained pianist, he then ventured into various synthesisers and analog organs. Add the trumpet and other instruments, and his influences are varied and numerous. His sound varies anywhere from silky and sexy deep house, phat and chunky deep tech house, driving melodic progressive to dark, obscure techno and beyond, but progressive house, progressive & melodic techno are where his heart beats hardest. That being said, Steve's number one rule is that all his tracks must have a soul, musicality and purpose.

🔊 4.30pm - 5.15pm - Tranceducer
Programmed with a deep musical passion, diligent drive and natural manner, Tranceducer is highly regarded throughout Australia’s dance music industry. Tranceducer’s dedication to share music that thoroughly fulfills and surprises has him regularly included on Queensland’s biggest dance line-ups. Adaptable to any environment, Tranceducer regularly appears at the finest clubs and festivals and has held his own when supporting many international dance legends. As well as a constant gigging schedule, 2017 sees the conductor enter the studio to craft his own dance floor ammunition. This will see him armed and loaded to execute his primary function: converting musical energies into dance floor focused sets of house, tech house, techno, progressive, trance and psychedelia.

🔊 5.15pm - 6.00pm - Commonground
CommonGround is the name of Grant Reynold’s musical performance and production project that has been making its mark on Brisbane over the last three years with powerful Trance, Techno, Progressive and Psy-Trance. In September 2015 Grant has had his first Release on Skyfall Records in the form of a 138bpm uplifting Trance tune with powerful rolling bass lines and big uplifting synths in the breakdowns. There are many releases soon to come covering all the genres that the CommonGround name has become known for. Henry Saiz
“I tried to create an intense and visual musical experience.”
Indeed, Henry’s words here convey an inherent ethos embedded deep within the great Spaniard. Whether watching him perform live, or listening to his music in the privacy of your own home, there’s an intimacy that is created, as if he’s playing a personal selection just for you.

Darkbeat have been bringing Henry Saiz out to Australia for almost a decade now, and in that time, he has built on this intimacy and built a strong relationship with his fans. When he’s in town it feels like a collection of friends coming together for a night of decadent debauchery.

This time will be no different.

This August Henry Saiz returns to Brown Alley to help celebrate the launch of his first mix CD compilation in 6 year, Henry Saiz – Balance Seriespresents Natura Sonoris Label. A truly heady and deeply satisfying journey from the first minute. It brings together music past and present from his label but never falls into cliché; even his most loved classics have been reimagined here to provide the listener with an entirely fresh experience.

IWTFA is proud to present MACHINE from Melbourne. Pretty much the most forward thinking techno club nights in the country and has been called by some, "best techno club night in the southern hemisphere". This is the night Scottie Chappell disapears to Melbourne once a month to go to so we are bringing Machine to Brisbane to show everyone why.

Joining us is legendary techno mastermind SIMON SLIEKER who is one of the founders of Machine and machine resident LATERAL aka Matthew Drape. We are very excited to be bringing MACHINE to Brisbane for the first time to give you a total techno experience what Melbourne get once a month and still going strong all these years. So lets show them how Brisbane do it and give them a warm welcome.

Finally we have the time and the space to give all our guests and supports 2 hours each to show everyone their full potential. something that is very rare in brisbane and especially in a warehouse environment.

Also its Jamie Grenenger's birthday so come down a celebrate as it is Sarah Spencers and Jamies Birthday night!! big celebrations.

Machine Club is the night time expression of Machine Label. It is home to Melbourne’s restless electronic devotees. It acts as a signal beacon to the witless and the wise. Its thumping baseline can be heard through the fog of the night. Characteristic of Machine is the harmonious intermingling of young and old, male and female, gay and straight; Machine and Machine Label don’t settle for the singular; rather an undulating landscape defined by a love of techno music in all of its multiple personalities. We welcome the journey, and all who undertake it. The path we have traversed is a 8 year adventure, already a fable, and the path that lies ahead? This is the tale we tell together.

Over 8 years Machine has proven to be somewhat of a signal beacon for the emergence of a mature and considered revision of techno music, art and culture. Not surprising perhaps when it is revealed the driving force behind the endeavour are two older practitioners in Andrew Till and Simon Slieker, with 48 years of professional music industry involvement between them.

Eight years in, the Machine club is the hang-out for this re-emergence. Significantly, Machine is populated by a mix of age groups: representative of youth and maturity, enjoying an environment together, each bringing something to the table. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the artist roster, which boasts a swathe of established, older artists, some coming out of retirement, pulled by the lure of an event that is multi faceted, intelligent and offering the promise of something many artists yearn for in the techno field: recognition of artistic expression. Could it signal the “growing up” of the misdirected youth, ever the villain: techno music?

Further to this cause is the attraction of a band of artists, new to the fold, rallied by the sophisticated approach to sound which is at odds with typical commercial interests. The young welcome this apparently vibrant and expressive scene that clearly holds the interest of older heads than their own, that promises something more than a passing fad-like appeal.

Underwriting the spirit of the Machine club, is Machine the label. Representative of the night time realisation of the Machine ethos, the label offers a distinct outlet for the artist fold; beyond the temporal throws of an evenings soiree.

Simon Slieker is a career dj whose currency began with his first shows in 1994 and has held firm through 21 years of laying down as dj, performer, writer, producer and workshop practitioner.

Just as familiar with brooding melodies as he is tribal drums, Slieker is known for the sense of journey he creates: insistent and intense yet sensitive to the subtle textures which allow breath. The through-line: a mesmerising and hypnotic drive. With Simon Slieker you get classic turntable dj'ing: blended vinyl cuts interweaving across an extended music horizon.

Slieker’s career profile has taken him through most clubs and events in Melbourne, across Australia and various countries abroad. The more significant residencies were the Every Picture Tells a Story parties in the early 90's, 8 years with Teriyaki Anarki Saki, key resident contributions with Centriphugal, Revolver and Escape. He has also run several production enterprises, namely Yeah Fuck Yeah, Sucker Punch, Monotremes, When the Smoke Clears and the current vehicle Machine.

If you're keen fan of Melbourne techno, there is a strong chance that you've heard the name 'Lateral' in the last couple of years. Lateral, the creation Melbourne-based DJ and Producer Matthew Drape, is the alternate alias for Matthew's darker and more experimental techno releases; with his previous, more melodic productions having been released under his first alias of 'Backroom Reality'.

There is not a whole lot to say when it comes down to him explaining the musical background behind his work or what his sources of inspiration are. Instead, he prefers to remain quite modest and relatively humble about his productions. Spending a significant portion of his downtime locked away in his studio ñ he sits there crafting dark, thunderous and high quality techno for the aural pleasure of his listeners and fans alike.

Lateral has a handful of remarkable releases under his belt so far, most of them residing on Melbourne-based record label 'Machine': the label he proudly calls his home. Recently, he was happy to be brought on board to help with dealings with the label by fellow crew, Andrew Till and Simon Sleiker.

Over the last couple of years, Matt has released several EP's on Machine ñ Including not only original compositions and remixes, but also a couple of collaborative works with fellow Melbourne producer and local techno heavyweight: D-Rex.

His latest EP on Machine, ìFermionî, is a hypnotic and deep combination of busy chugging techno full of atmosphere and depth. It features remixes by The Black Moy and Ground Loop.

In addition to his Machine releases: Lateral has released a standout EP on Melbourne/Glasgow based record label, One4SevenOne Records, called ìAltitudeî (released back in 2014) and his track ìFractalî was featured on One4SevenOne's ìMelbourne Sampler Aî compilation in 2015.

Matt has supported the likes of DVS1, Enrico Sangiuliano, Tripeo, Knobs, Luis Flores and many others ñ but he always enjoys performing alongside his fellow Melbourne techno artists and DJ's, and often his favourite gigs to play are the nights held by Machine. Previous events that Lateral has Djed at include Machine Halloween, Unfold 002, Machine 26 & Billion Underground Presents Tripeo [Live]. His latest set was at the highly esteemed Rainbow Serpent Festival, where he helped celebrate Rainbow's 20 year celebration. Bringing in the sunrise on the sunset stage Saturday morning.

GATECRASHER Return Of The Lion - Australian Tour 2017
Venue EI8HT (Formerly Known As Family Nightclub)
Friday 25th August 2017

Since the birth of Gatecrasher in 1993 in Birmingham London, it fast became one of the biggest trance brands in the world. With artists like Judge Jules, Scott Bond, Paul Van Dyke, Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Eddie Halliwell and over 26 CD launches, it really shows why Gatecrasher was the best. In 2017 we see Gatecrasher return to Australia for the first time since 2001 as we bring to you, "Gatecrasher - Return of the Lion" Tour.

Mauro Picotto is one of the busiest, most versatile, and well-known figures in dance music, and he wouldn't have it any other way. He has, to date, released over 700 singles, EPs, remixes, albums and compilations, shifting in excess of 7 million units, and winning a string of awards along the way. He has played at some of the biggest parties of the last 20 years and now returns to headline the return of GATECRASHER.

As co-founder of the world-renowned clubbing brand Gatecrasher, and long-time resident DJ of the legendary events, Scott Bond has done more than most to spearhead the rise of trance across the globe. Now in the third decade of an outstanding career, Scott is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon! 2017 is due to bring forth a string of new releases and collaborations on FSOE, Vandit, and WAO138.

Indecent Noise (Aleksander Stawierej), 24-year-old DJ, producer and co-organiser of events "Lifestream" at Warsaw club scene. His fascination with electronic music started at a very young age, as a 7-year-old he listened to compilations of Jan Michelle Jarre and Kraftwerk.

Australia's own Factor B AKA Brendan Blatt has undoubtedly established himself as one of the fastest rising talents in the world of uplifting trance. Brendan's music began gaining attention from mid-2014 when his tune 'Stratos Galaxias' was picked up by UK trance duo 'Neptune Project' Brendan's music is clearly stirring up the international trance scene; his unique, euphoric uplifting style is reinvigorating the trance purist's across the world in big numbers.
