We’re celebrating 5 YEARS of Mexican madness!

We launched our very first Mexican wrestling fiesta at Brown Alley 5 years ago.

We're celebrating with you by putting on a tequila party like no other, with more than 12 masked luchadores, a mini luchadora & hot señoritas dancing to the rhythm of mariachis, Mexican DJs and Mexican rock band Los Más Altos. The only thing missing is...

YOU AND YOUR AMIGOS!

"Absolutely electric entertainment!" - Australian Stage Magazine

"Great fun! Enjoy the party!" - Lehmo (Australian comedian, Gold 104.3 FM)

"What started as an excuse to party became a great way to showcase Mexican culture in a different way. Vamos a ponernos bien pokemones!" Victor Gil Diaz, founder of Lucha Fantastica

* * * * *

Lucha Fantastica proudly presents ...

OUR 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY FIESTA

With our classic luchadores (wrestlers) but with more exotic entertainers, more action, more acrobatics, more tequila and more fiesta!

What can you expect?

• Expect all the Mexican wrestling folklore!
You will see luchadores and enmascarados (masked wrestlers) doing a combination of sport, entertainment and dramatic storytelling, all rolled up into a flamboyant display of wild and high-flying insanity.

• Expect ‘Dos de Tres Caidas’ (2 Out Of 3 Falls) battles, showcasing ‘suicidas’ (suicide moves), ‘desnucadoras’ (power bombs), ‘patadas voladoras’ (flying kicks), ‘filomenas’ (spin kicks), ‘quebradoras’ (spinning back breaker), ‘tapatias’, ‘huracarranas’, ‘manita de puerco’ and more traditional Mexican wrestling moves!

• Expect beautiful and hot señoritas dancing to warm tropical beats and serving tequila shots to you and your mates!

• Expect the ‘mini’ wrestler to be in the corners of the ring supporting the luchadores!

• EXPECT A HUGE MEXICAN AFTER PARTY!!!

+ The Lone Mariachi
+ Los Más Altos (Mexican Rock)
+ Sr. Ramirez (from Lost Acapulco doing a DJ set)
+ DJ Char Loops

Keep an eye on our event page as we will be announcing which luchadores are participating and more surprises that we are preparing for this Mexican madness!

Doors open 9pm.

On May the 4th Melbourne Golden Age Sound & Cat House Melbourne bring you two of the most respected and in high demand DJ’s under one roof at Brown Alley.

Skober (Drumcode / Tronic / Terminal M)
https://soundcloud.com/skober
Yan Cook (Planet Rhythm / Delsin / ARTS )
https://soundcloud.com/yan_cook

Straight from Ukraine, these two really know how to get a party going with their unique styles of Techno.
As we take over the main roof upstairs, the atmosphere having these two artists will be second to none, a phenomenal outburst of Techno with the unique sound these two have to offer as they currently tour the world.

If you love your Techno you know where to be!

– Skober
Skober is a Ukrainian techno DJ and producer with his unique deep-techno style. Having good music background and experience playing in rock band in his early youth it is no surprise that after being infected by House vibes this young man jumped on the right wagon.
Keeping up the original works for his home label Skober has done lots of tracks and remixes for labels like Drumcode, Phobiq, Respekt, Trapez, Fone Audio, Remain, Rhythm Converted, Spark Musik, Code, Organism. There were numerous entries in techno and minimal tops on different music shops all over the world done by Skober's music and he got support from some serious players in this industry.
He is supported by such famous artists as Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joseph Capriati, Slam, Dubfire, Sasha Carassi, Markantonio, Luigi Madonna, Harvey McKay, Mark Reeve, Spektre, Tom Hades, Axel Karakasis, Steve Parker Loco & Jam, Mr. Bizz, RedHead and many others. But he is not running over the quantity of tracks as his main point is quality and ideas. So watch out and support!

- Yan Cook
Yan was born in Kiev, Ukraine, 1991. At the age of sixteen he was introduced to electronic music, more specifically Techno and his love for it was instantaneous! The rest is history and meanwhile the Ukrainian has performed alongside many of the most respected techno talents from around the globe and collaborated with a number of people in the past, as well as working under different aliases, he is now focusing on his own fully distinguished style which is immediately recognizable from the first seconds of a track: heavy and sometimes smooth dancefloor techno with haunting atmospheres and striking basslines.
With a string of releases under his belt on some higly respected labels such as Delsin Records, Dynamic Reflection, Silent Steps Records and Planet Rhythm, he is definitely a force to be reckoned with and his signature tracks are definitely leaving a long lasting impression with his audience.

    • Another day, another report of dangerous pills. Allison of KnowYourStuffNZ has been busy telling all the kiwi boys and girls about the circulation of high dose ecstasy and we’re here to pass some of that info onto you!
New Zealand being our neighbours it’s somewhat safe to assume we’re getting some of the similar imports and the good people at The Spinoff have recently put out an article detailing some of the issues with what’s going around.
What we can tell you is to approach a few with increased caution. On that list: Green Guccis, Yellow Rolexes and Pink Porsches. The Porsches in particular have been found to have pharmaceutical agents, so that’s usually a big ol’ no go.
As always, we don’t condone it, but understand it happens. Look after yourselves and your friends!

Paco Osuna (Spain), Nastia (Ukraine) and Fabio Neural (Italy) take PURE to the next stage in 2018.

After its first year in Ibiza, winning best event of the summer in September 2017, this year the Australian leg expands to include: Brisbane for the first time alongside regulars Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Auckland.  PURE 2018 will tour Australia and New Zealand over the ANZAC Day weekend in April.

    • Luigi Tozzi’s fathomless techno deep-dives and captivating biomorphic atmospherics have been a favorite of ours at Dub Monitor since the young Italian producer began regularly releasing in 2014. Tozzi is one of a surprising cohort of Italian producers who have distinguished themselves as an undeniable vanguard of ingenious experimentation in techno and commitment to its fusion of modernist and shamanistic impulses. Think of Lucy, the Dadub guys, Voices from the Lake, to name just a few. I was curious to know how Tozzi came to be doing what he’s doing, how he goes about making such weirdly organic techno, where he thinks Italian techno is going right now, and what his future plans might be.
