We're excited to have for the second time at Dragonfruit Fridays, Sydney master ZIGMON ( Bassic Records / Rabbits Eat Lettuce), joined by our local residents Rascal , Jay Berry and Manu Neves.

Bassic Records director/co-founder "ZigMon" breaks the boundaries of techno, progressive, house and minimal, generating encapsulating and unique dancefloor dynamics. Always finding a balance between driving basslines and alluring melodies, ZigMon sees his purpose to deliver something unexpected, compelling an unpredictable journey without the confines of style or genre.

Warming up for Boris Brejcha and Anne Clue sits at the top of his resumé, closely followed by directly supporting Jay Lumen, Perfect Stranger, D-nox, Alex Stein, Minilogue, Justin Jay, Kolombo, Dale Howard, Louie Cut, DJ W!LD, Be Svendsen, Astrix, Opiuo and Koan Sound. A vagabond of the Australian festival circuit, ZigMon has featured at Strawberry Fields, Earth Frequency, Subsonic Music Festival, Psyfari, Bizarre Garden and is a resident of Rabbits Eat Lettuce, hosting a Bassic Records showcase on the festival’s main stage each year. Indoors, ZigMon is constantly on the move, regularly performing with Australia’s most famed brands; SASH, elsewhere, Breakfast Club, WeLove, Dragonfruit and Essential Intentions, additionally leaving a mark on a wide range of respected venues; 161, Circus, Railway Hotel, New Guernica (Melb), Max Watt’s, HOME, Burdekin, Slyfox, Zoo Project (Syd), The Northern, Sticky Wicket (Byron Bay) and Capulet (Bris).

FLUX is back, bringing you lush Inner City warehouse vibes, sonically powered by Funktion One with one of Australia’s finest; Dave Stuart on the select. Running four parties in Sydney over the last nine years, Dave’s creative movements hold true to our values here at FLUX, ever pushing things forward. His latest project Something Else has been bringing plentiful fruit from the underground to Sydney’s nightlife. Having recently played at the likes of Tresor in Berlin Dave’s deep and dreamy assortment of dancefloor magic venturing between house and techno cuts will be sure to hypnotize groovers in what will be another immersive musical experience.

Heating things up for Dave we have Brisbane taste maker DJ Rikki Newton, father of the legendary Subtrakt parties. Rikki has brought his passion for underground house and techno to Brisbane for over ten years and we are honoured to be able to invite him to let loose in the warehouse.

Alex Hierl makes his second appearance for FLUX, following his debut at the Frequencies TV we couldn’t wait to show him off in a different format. With a long running vinyl obsession and an ear for detail we’re stoked to have him ignite the party.

We bring to you one of the hottest acts from Anjunadeep... YOTTO!

Yotto started releasing with Anjuna in June of 2015 with the tracks Azzurro and Memento, the tunes garnered support from a range of stars, from Gorgon City to Tiesto. Since then he has remixed Above & Beyond's “Counting Down The Days,” while continuing to release on Anjunadeep with his acclaimed ‘Wondering’ EP picking up support from BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM and from tastemaker DJs like Lane 8, The Magician and Kidnap Kid. Yotto's ability to cross genres and labels is what sets him apart as an artist, his diversity and refusal to be defined is what makes him one of the most appealing new artists in dance music.

His last release of 2015, "Personal Space," was selected by Pete Tong as his Essential New Tune on November 20th. The accompanying track "Mulholland 99" was also featured on Tong's Radio 1 show. The tracks received support from a truly eclectic selection of renowned names, including Carl Craig, Danny Tenaglia, Dusky, Kidnap Kid, Lane 8 and Tensnake.

2016 started off with two huge remixes. First, a banging rework of RÜFÜS “Like An Animal,” another Essential New Tune on Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show, followed by a remix of Coldplay's massive hit "Adventure of a Lifetime." Originals “Aviate” and “Crosswalk” on Anjunadeep have garnered support from Above & Beyond, Pete Tong, Phil Taggart, Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Tiesto and Mark Knight. “Aviate” marked Yotto’s 3rd Essential New Tune.

Most recently, July 2016 saw Yotto release “The Owls” on Anjunadeep to widespread attention and acclaim, and in a short matter of time the single has proved to be his most widely supported track yet. Pete Tong selected the track as Essential New Tune, Yotto’s 4th, plus renowned tastemaker Annie Mac selected the tune as Hottest Record in the World on her radio show. “The Owls” is the first installment in a three part series of releases.

Hope all is well in your paradise. The invitation for the infamous City-Bush-Doof, aka CBD, is officially official! As the name suggests, the CBD is a music-based event set to the backdrop of Brisbane’s suburban jungle.
The City Bush Doof evolved as an idea that began as a lunch in the park and quickly turned into an all out party after receiving huge support on Facebook . Since it’s offical release on the 30th of September, first round tickets have already sold out! With over five thousand people interested in attending the event before the announcement of a lineup or venue, it’s no surprise that the City Bush Doof promises to be a defining event of 2017.  If you’re into dance music and good vibes, this is one Sunday sesh you won’t want to miss.
Although the initial plan was to occupy public land in St Lucia, our application with the council was rejected, so we had to move to a new location.
The CBD was inspired with the aim of bringing just a small group of family and friends closer together but with so much interest and excitement, we opened the event to the public. Since, it's become a music-based event built on positivity, happiness and a mutual love of doof. So please please please take the opportunity to spend time with your bretheren and bask in the love.
Originally, we planned to run the event on donations but in order to host the best event possible, we needed more funds - and have since released tickets (check the link above). This year's event is on a Sunday and we're hosting a range of local and national artists.
We can't wait to see you there!

Sonora is a new series of events in Melbourne focusing on cultured house and techno.

Powered by Faceless Touring in collaboration with Quality Project, Brouqade Rec. and Soirée. The launch party will feature Cocoon favourite and Brouqade's leading lady, Dana Ruh.

Born and raised in Germany‘s small town Gera, Dana Ruh soon found her way to the capital city Berlin and since then has been on a constantly evolving musical journey. In the early years her sound was rooted in techno and landed most often on the label she set up with friend Ann in 2007 (though Anthea also joined the ranks in 2012). Named Brouqade, this label has become a go to outlet for contemporary club sounds and has helped established Dana as one of underground dance music’s leading ladies.

Producing a deeper, more smoky house and techno sound, Dana has released on seminal label Ostgut Ton alongside André Galuzzi and has also become one of the family members at Jus Ed’s lauded New Jersey label Underground Quality. It is with that label that she released her stunning debut album, Naturally, and picked up props for it across the board. More new EPs are to follow in 2015, as are plenty more muscle delights that all showcases Dana’s moody, hypnotic sound in all its glory.

When she isn’t busy in the studio crafting textured tracks that work perfectly in back room basements and dirty warehouses, Dana is a fine DJ who holds down resident duties at top Berlin space Club Der Visionare. It is there that she lays down seductive tracks from the worlds of house and techno as well as gems in between, but so too does she do the same when on tour round world, hitting up clubs and festivals everywhere from the UK to the USA, Romanian to Russia. As such, despite working in such an over saturated and competitive field, Dana Ruh manages to speak louder and more coherently that most, and for that reason she deserves all the attention she gets.
