Papa Smurf (3hr 90s Trance Set)
Widely considered a longstanding veteran within Melbourne’s music scene, 2020 has seen a complete resurgence of Papa Smurf. The local trance legend skyrocketed to popularity earlier this year following his powerhouse performance at Pitch Music & Arts 2020 – a set which has now amassed more than 40k plays on SoundCloud alone.
Hot off the tail from this performance, Papa Smurf joined us for a 90min live-stream from Melbourne’s Regent Theatre, the first of its kind for the renowned Australian venue. Since then, Papa Smurf has been highly requested by long-time fans and new followers alike, single-handedly reinvigorating the sound of Melbourne’s club-scene in the late ’90s and early ’00s, in a modern context.
We are excited to be welcoming him to Melbourne’s Bourke Street Courtyard on Fri 2nd April for a party that will surely go down as one for the books.
As per all Novel events, this event will be compliant and adhere to all regulations including possible COVID-19 safe regulations. Until further is known what regulations the event must operate, Novel will be selling limited tickets to the event in line with the venue’s capacity, and we will be implementing a COVID-safe plan for the duration of the event.
