Thats weird about no EG thread, there should've been one created..  Maybe something went wrong with the automatic creation of the thread when the event was created.  gonna need to do some testing now.

Oops, must've forgotten to leave a link in the original forum..  I thought maybe it would show up on people's emails around the country a bit more if it was in a less-specific forum, hoping to get a few more people posting in it. :)

I was an old ITMer. Fairly active with about 7,000 plus posts over the years. Tried to log on to the shell that remains of that site with no luck. Anyway discovered one of the very last posts saying that this forum was around and that it may have some active old school ITM posters on it. I remember liberabit as a poster. I was probably most known for my Essential Mix sticky thread which I would update religiously every week for years. Anyway hi.

Yeah a few ITMers came across, there's been a trickle slowly as people have tried to get on the old ITM forums and found they can't..  Welcome to the new site :)  I'm hoping as time progresses more and more people get chatting on the forums.  I don't recall the Essential Mix sticky thread, what was it about?

I started posting Radio 1's Essential Mixes hosted by Pete Tong every week and it just became popular so was one of the only threads to be made a sticky on the General (main page) of ITM.

Its funny because I have tried to listen to Essential mixes lately and none have really grabbed me like they use to. This latest one could be decent:

Ah, yes, Yotto.  I am a fan of his stuff, so its no surprise that he would put out a decent one.  I might have to give it a listen now.  :)

Adam Beyer & Awakenings will be making Techno (and Amsterdam) history next summer, teaming up to bring the inaugural Drumcode Festival to NDSM.
Regular fixture at Awakenings, this is the first time the world’s best-selling techno imprint will host its own dedicated festival. In fact, Beyer has played more Awakenings events than any other artist, going back to the late 90s with over 75 shows, including two sets each at Awakenings 20th anniversary and Awakenings Festival in 2017.

    • Another day, another report of dangerous pills. Allison of KnowYourStuffNZ has been busy telling all the kiwi boys and girls about the circulation of high dose ecstasy and we’re here to pass some of that info onto you!
New Zealand being our neighbours it’s somewhat safe to assume we’re getting some of the similar imports and the good people at The Spinoff have recently put out an article detailing some of the issues with what’s going around.
What we can tell you is to approach a few with increased caution. On that list: Green Guccis, Yellow Rolexes and Pink Porsches. The Porsches in particular have been found to have pharmaceutical agents, so that’s usually a big ol’ no go.
As always, we don’t condone it, but understand it happens. Look after yourselves and your friends!

    • One of Australia and New Zealand’s most loved techno event, returns for its third year, to announce another huge lineup.

PURE, presented and curated by: Carl Cox, Eric Powell of Bush Records and Richie McNeill of Hardware, will see

Paco Osuna (Spain), Nastia (Ukraine) and Fabio Neural (Italy) take PURE to the next stage in 2018.

After its first year in Ibiza, winning best event of the summer in September 2017, this year the Australian leg expands to include: Brisbane for the first time alongside regulars Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Auckland.  PURE 2018 will tour Australia and New Zealand over the ANZAC Day weekend in April.

    • Luigi Tozzi’s fathomless techno deep-dives and captivating biomorphic atmospherics have been a favorite of ours at Dub Monitor since the young Italian producer began regularly releasing in 2014. Tozzi is one of a surprising cohort of Italian producers who have distinguished themselves as an undeniable vanguard of ingenious experimentation in techno and commitment to its fusion of modernist and shamanistic impulses. Think of Lucy, the Dadub guys, Voices from the Lake, to name just a few. I was curious to know how Tozzi came to be doing what he’s doing, how he goes about making such weirdly organic techno, where he thinks Italian techno is going right now, and what his future plans might be.
