Is there anywhere with a decent atmosphere on a Monday night in Brisbane?

Depends what you're looking for really..  Chilled vibe or upbeat type of stuff?

@Nordic-By-Nature may be able to help :)

I find most places seem to keep the usual 78:21 N2:O2 atmosphere which I've always considered pretty decent.

Check out the new bar on the river called Riverland.  Its up near Bar Pacino in the city, towards the valley from Eagle St Pier.  Really cool vibe.  I think they're open on monday nights.

" By volume, dry air contains 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.04% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases. Air also contains a variable amount of water vapor, on average around 1% at sea level, and 0.4% over the entire atmosphere "

I just rounded to the nearest whole number ;)

Frank Ocean has proven time and time again to be an avid fan and student of the musical experience. Presently, it seems he’d like for his fans to enjoy his music in any listening capacity they please. In that vein, Ocean has unveiled numerous physical editions of Endless, the visual album he released last year.
Available for just 24 hours, on November 27, Ocean’s launched a collection of Cyber Monday exclusives that include a remastering of the album on vinyl and CD, with the accompanying film also on sale on both DVD and VHS for the first time ever.
And while the newly remastered physical editions of the record offer fans the chance a top-notch listening experience with the record, fans of a more lo-fi aesthetic should enjoy the VHS, on sale for just $18.
Two double-sided posters are also part of the sale, which includes a never-before-seen photo of Ocean during the making of Endless.

All of the products are on sale until midnight Eastern time on November 27.
The album can be purchased at blonded.co.

Whethan unexpectedly just tweeted out that his Good Nights Tour is actually his “good bye tour” and fans are freaking out!
The 18-year-old producer set off on his tour on September 14, kicking things off in Los Angeles. Little did fans know at the time that he’d be ending his already successful run as a producer (or, at least under the name Whethan).
The Good Nights Tour 2017 continues, visiting New York, Montreal, Columbus, Detroit, and more through mid-November, ending in his hometown, Chicago.
Unfortunately, this looks like the beginning of the end:

During his short, but quick rise on the scene he has delivered hits with “Savage,” “Love Gang” featuring Charli XCX, and his single which sparked this very tour — “Good Night.”
However, Whethan followed up hours later to clarify that he wasn’t done with music, and also surreptitiously dropped the news that he has an album on the way. Surprise!

    • Another day, another report of dangerous pills. Allison of KnowYourStuffNZ has been busy telling all the kiwi boys and girls about the circulation of high dose ecstasy and we’re here to pass some of that info onto you!
New Zealand being our neighbours it’s somewhat safe to assume we’re getting some of the similar imports and the good people at The Spinoff have recently put out an article detailing some of the issues with what’s going around.
What we can tell you is to approach a few with increased caution. On that list: Green Guccis, Yellow Rolexes and Pink Porsches. The Porsches in particular have been found to have pharmaceutical agents, so that’s usually a big ol’ no go.
As always, we don’t condone it, but understand it happens. Look after yourselves and your friends!

    • One of Australia and New Zealand’s most loved techno event, returns for its third year, to announce another huge lineup.

PURE, presented and curated by: Carl Cox, Eric Powell of Bush Records and Richie McNeill of Hardware, will see

Paco Osuna (Spain), Nastia (Ukraine) and Fabio Neural (Italy) take PURE to the next stage in 2018.

After its first year in Ibiza, winning best event of the summer in September 2017, this year the Australian leg expands to include: Brisbane for the first time alongside regulars Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Auckland.  PURE 2018 will tour Australia and New Zealand over the ANZAC Day weekend in April.

    • Luigi Tozzi’s fathomless techno deep-dives and captivating biomorphic atmospherics have been a favorite of ours at Dub Monitor since the young Italian producer began regularly releasing in 2014. Tozzi is one of a surprising cohort of Italian producers who have distinguished themselves as an undeniable vanguard of ingenious experimentation in techno and commitment to its fusion of modernist and shamanistic impulses. Think of Lucy, the Dadub guys, Voices from the Lake, to name just a few. I was curious to know how Tozzi came to be doing what he’s doing, how he goes about making such weirdly organic techno, where he thinks Italian techno is going right now, and what his future plans might be.
