★ SASH by Day & Night ★ Secret Guest ★ Trus'me ★

★ S.A.S.H by Day ★

Day will be kick-started by the fastest bloke on the block - Marley Schumacher, as he eases us into the first corner of the day before our Berlin-based secret guest takes us up a few groove gears. Ben Korbel is entrusted with the closing set, taking us to a higher place before we all climb aboard the fabled buses to Home.

★ S.A.S.H by Night ★

As Day becomes Night, we tuck ourselves into the red glass chamber and finish our Sunday sermon – this time led by Manchester mogul Trus'me. Warming things up in the Terrace is Stockholm stalwart turned Melbournite record store guy – Johan Elgstrom.

We cross over to the Den, which sees Sydney’s Sari Amia keep things deep and blue before Indo club connoisseur Raff Track takes us into the working (for some) week.

Having seen tremendous success both from a string of studio LPs over the years and his remarkable DJ Sets (including plenty in Australia over the last decade), Trus’me makes his return to SASH. His label Prime Numbers carries the torch for artists as diverse as Move D and MCDE to Answer Code Request and Alan Fitzpatrick – all with an unfaltering reputation for highly collectable and exceptional club music. Dealing only with Prime dancefloor Numbers himself, you can Trus’me that this Mancunian music head knows how to work the Terrace at Home, with his own signature futuristic analogue sound.

    • At first glance, Brisbane DJ DefWill appears to be going from strength to strength, balancing university studies, events management roles for festivals like Splendour in the Grass, Rabbits Eat Lettuce and Live Large, DJing some of the deepest techno rhythms at some of the primest techno parties on the east coast of Oz and also that he has never let the fact that he is deaf hold him back. Though if one takes the time to look (and talk) a little deeper it becomes clear that he, like many of us, carries burdens that are well beyond his control and the weight of which has been known to bring even the strongest of us down.

    • From the DJ’s perspective; since Larry Levan’s early days at the Paradise Garage, the remix – or playing different versions of songs – was one of the first notable aspects of what we now know as DJ Culture. His ethic of refreshing successful dancefloor movers in the late seventies passed down generations of DJ has been long-established as almost a perfunctory task, almost a must-do to be undertaken by the disk jockey.

    • Here is a fresh new mix from us—and one that definitely gives us the warm and fuzzies!

So, our 'Attic' brand as a whole, the music we push—and, indeed, Andrew and I as individual DJs—is often centred around music on the lower, slower, deeper, warm-up tip. That is a label we've always worn with pride.

    • Recently I got to go check out the official Outlook Festival Queensland launch party in Brisbane. Presented by Quality Street Byron Bay, the event concept paid tribute to one of Europe’s most exciting Drum and Bass festivals and is a celebration of sound system culture.
