★ S.A.S.H by Day ★

We cruise into Day with the warm, smooth sounds Nathan Munro is becoming known for, before Scott Grant limbers and lubricates the floor for French sensation Janeret. If that hasn’t left you loosened up and wanting more, BROHN takes the floor until we feel like heading Home.

★ Janeret ★
It marks 1 year since we last hosted Janeret – a man whose productions speak for themselves, and skills as a DJ were proven beyond doubt on his last venture. Ask anyone. As label manager of the Joule imprint, which has been drip-feeding one club-ready hit release after another, as well as a member of the yoyaku clan – Janeret has his finger on the pulse of the French house sound. It’s a pleasure to welcome him back, this time switching Night for Day, as he heads off what will be a stellar evening at Greenwood.

★ S.A.S.H by Night ★

Night time we can’t relax just yet, as there is more important work to be done at Home before we remember we all have jobs to go to. The Terrace is split between two experienced floor fillers - WetYourSelf lords Peter Pixzel and Jacob Husley.

The blue room is reserved for a tantalising B2B partnership forged by Gerrit Oliver and Öncüm Yılmaz, before U-Khan takes us to a close.

★ Peter Pixzel ★
At S*A*S*H we try and book a mixture of different artists, but who all share one thing in common -how to move a dancefloor. Sometimes, the best way to do this is to look to other clubs around the world who are achieving things that we ourselves aim to achieve. Successful parties have successful resident DJs, and Peter Pixzel is no exception to that rule, as resident of WetYourSelf London, he has played a part in many of London’s most celebrated fiestas. Here’s to one of our own at SASH By Night.

★ Jacob Husley ★
Jacob Husley, also a resident DJ, and director of WetYourSelf at fabriclondon has the electronic music scene pinned down – and he certainly has the ability to do the same (as he has before in the past) at our beloved Home – in the Night Terrace.

    • At first glance, Brisbane DJ DefWill appears to be going from strength to strength, balancing university studies, events management roles for festivals like Splendour in the Grass, Rabbits Eat Lettuce and Live Large, DJing some of the deepest techno rhythms at some of the primest techno parties on the east coast of Oz and also that he has never let the fact that he is deaf hold him back. Though if one takes the time to look (and talk) a little deeper it becomes clear that he, like many of us, carries burdens that are well beyond his control and the weight of which has been known to bring even the strongest of us down.

    • From the DJ’s perspective; since Larry Levan’s early days at the Paradise Garage, the remix – or playing different versions of songs – was one of the first notable aspects of what we now know as DJ Culture. His ethic of refreshing successful dancefloor movers in the late seventies passed down generations of DJ has been long-established as almost a perfunctory task, almost a must-do to be undertaken by the disk jockey.

    • Here is a fresh new mix from us—and one that definitely gives us the warm and fuzzies!

So, our 'Attic' brand as a whole, the music we push—and, indeed, Andrew and I as individual DJs—is often centred around music on the lower, slower, deeper, warm-up tip. That is a label we've always worn with pride.

    • Recently I got to go check out the official Outlook Festival Queensland launch party in Brisbane. Presented by Quality Street Byron Bay, the event concept paid tribute to one of Europe’s most exciting Drum and Bass festivals and is a celebration of sound system culture.
