DJ Lion (Zhivorad Milich), one of the Balkan’s pioneers of underground music scene – the owner and co-founder of Patent Skillz Records from Bulgaria now based in Berlin and the 1st ever English student of SAE Berlin.

The intrinsic feature of his music style is crystal clean and powerful sound which grabs the audience and takes them to the highest peak possible from music. He is mysteriously capable of somehow collecting a unique “bunch of flowers” which in a moment scatters all over like a pleasant odour touching the deepest part of the ear drum. Ever since the 1990’s he has been increasingly improving his outstanding career along with enormous and unceasing love and devotion to music. World wide gigs: Germany (Berlin), USA (Miami, Washington, New York, Philadelphia), Argentina (Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Comodoro Rivadavia, San Nicolas, Venado Tuerto), India (Goa, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Jaipur), Sri Lanka (Colombo), Holland (Amsterdam), Singapore, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Serbia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Ireland (Dublin) Montenegro, Greece, Finland and many more.

His productions (5 Vinyls and about 200 released tracks and remixes) are played, supported and charted by: MOBY, Richie Hawtin, Pan-Pot, Oliver Koletzki, Nick Warren, Roger Sanchez, Mark Knight, Pete Tong, Tube & Berger, Umek, Nicole Moudaber, Paco Osuna , Marco Carola, Stefano Noferini, Metodi Hristov, Miguel Bastida, Prok & Fitch, Sergio Fernandez, Veerus & Maxie Devine, Fer Br, Heartik, Lowboys, Mladen Tomic, Gramophonedzie, Marko Nastic, Simon Doty, Tocadisco, Dosem, Format B and many more. And of course, the story doesn’t stop here – at the same time he is getting his 1st engineer diploma, the official Beatport remix contest with his mutual track with Gramophonedzie – Bregucha is taking place.

DJ Lion has proved many a time to be one of the accelerating touchstones which will propel the everlasting refreshment music styles. He will definitely continue to be considered among the most successful DJs and producers, not only in the Balkan, but also all over the world.

This will be an extraordinary night for techno lovers.

    • At first glance, Brisbane DJ DefWill appears to be going from strength to strength, balancing university studies, events management roles for festivals like Splendour in the Grass, Rabbits Eat Lettuce and Live Large, DJing some of the deepest techno rhythms at some of the primest techno parties on the east coast of Oz and also that he has never let the fact that he is deaf hold him back. Though if one takes the time to look (and talk) a little deeper it becomes clear that he, like many of us, carries burdens that are well beyond his control and the weight of which has been known to bring even the strongest of us down.

    • From the DJ’s perspective; since Larry Levan’s early days at the Paradise Garage, the remix – or playing different versions of songs – was one of the first notable aspects of what we now know as DJ Culture. His ethic of refreshing successful dancefloor movers in the late seventies passed down generations of DJ has been long-established as almost a perfunctory task, almost a must-do to be undertaken by the disk jockey.

    • Here is a fresh new mix from us—and one that definitely gives us the warm and fuzzies!

So, our 'Attic' brand as a whole, the music we push—and, indeed, Andrew and I as individual DJs—is often centred around music on the lower, slower, deeper, warm-up tip. That is a label we've always worn with pride.

    • Recently I got to go check out the official Outlook Festival Queensland launch party in Brisbane. Presented by Quality Street Byron Bay, the event concept paid tribute to one of Europe’s most exciting Drum and Bass festivals and is a celebration of sound system culture.
