OXJAM Haus Party at The Brightside

Join in the OXJAM movement.

OXJAM is a month-long party against poverty where hundreds of music lovers from all over the country throw their own gigs and parties in August, all in aid of Oxfam’s vision of empowering communities to tackle poverty.

&  have teamed up with  to bring OXJAM Haus Party edition on the 4th August. A night of house, techno, and for the hell of it... disco! Come dance this world into a better place.

The lineup is super cool with , straight from the Splendour stage to do a exclusive DJ set. 1s and 2s House Queen, . And pop sensations to get us jiving.

The goal is to raise $500. And we're making being charitable oh-so reasonable with DJs all night and drinks at very reasonable prices.

Tickets $10 on the door ($8 presale via Eventbrite). 100% of profits will be donated to Oxfam.

See our page  for all the info or message  with any questions.

Doors from 9pm.

    • From the DJ’s perspective; since Larry Levan’s early days at the Paradise Garage, the remix – or playing different versions of songs – was one of the first notable aspects of what we now know as DJ Culture. His ethic of refreshing successful dancefloor movers in the late seventies passed down generations of DJ has been long-established as almost a perfunctory task, almost a must-do to be undertaken by the disk jockey.

So, our 'Attic' brand as a whole, the music we push—and, indeed, Andrew and I as individual DJs—is often centred around music on the lower, slower, deeper, warm-up tip. That is a label we've always worn with pride.

    • Recently I got to go check out the official Outlook Festival Queensland launch party in Brisbane. Presented by Quality Street Byron Bay, the event concept paid tribute to one of Europe’s most exciting Drum and Bass festivals and is a celebration of sound system culture.
