[By The Wavs Exclusive] 8 Questions With Eastblock Bitches

    OzClubbers

    Eastblock Bitches

With their tune “Don’t Speak” quite rightly drawing in huge online kudos, German act Eastblock Bitches take some time away from the studio to fill us in on their 8 answers to our 8 questions…

    1) Who are three of your all-time favourite artists, past or present?

Wow that’s difficult, but I would say Daft Punk, Coldplay and Vitalic.

    2) Is there a particular tune that you have never got sick of?

Stardust – “Music Sounds Better With You”

    3) Describe your perfect day…

Wake up in my own bed with my dog. Lunch with my family. Later, a great and productive studio session with some gaming breaks on my PS4. Early evening dinner with a cinema visit with friends, and a great festival show in the night. As you can see, there is no chance of a perfect day.

    4) What would people who know you well say about you in three words?

He never call backs…. shit, four words.

    5) Ideal studio layout…

We love our own studios. We are fans of old vintage synths, like the Dave Smith Synth Prophet 5 and we have also a Jupiter 8 and some other great synths. So for a great studio you don’t only need a PC –  in my opinion you need some history in your room to get really inspired. I’m not a big fan of all these modern but lifeless and clean studios.

    6) What is your most valued material possession?

Our synths and of course Markus’ big game collection. And of course our health.

    7) Is there something musically you would like to do more of next year?

We want to release more tunes in the future. When you work with big labels you have always strict schedule plans. So we released only 3 songs in 2017. We really want to release more in 2018, maybe a full album or so.

    8) Where do you want to be in 10 years?

We want to be where we already are. We are living the dream and we hope that we can visit more countries to play our shows in the future. That would be great,  but for the moment we are really happy. We can hardly wait for what will happen in the future.

It took a while, but Headhunterz finally has 'a new place where the magic happens'. His studio is actually finished and he is proud to show his social media. He even calls it a dream that has become reality. And we can imagine that, because mister Heady is pretty much planning in the brand new Music From Within Studio.
Right from the moment Headhunterz returned to hardstyle, the Veenendaler threw the door of his old studio behind him. There had to be a new one, in which he could raise Hard With Style to a higher level besides his own productions. This place is now finally realized after a months-long renovation. Headhunterz explained a bit of the veil here, but one of the companies that actually built the studio shows much more. According to the website of one of the builders, the company has "installed an extension in January that allows podcast recordings with multiple participants". View the footage from Headhunterz 'studio here, here, here and here.
The new Headhunterz studio is finally ready
Now that the new musical breeding ground is finished, we can secretly look forward to new enjoyment for Headhunterz's ear. In addition to the new mini-album, which will be released this year, he said earlier that he wants to bring his Hard With Style podcast to a 2.0 version. The studio would offer a solution. The last broadcast of HWS was thus even suspended to 2 February. Headhunterz apologized for this, but said that the delay for a good cause is: "It will all make sense very soon."

We see him more and more often appear in the harder styles and it wouldn’t be his last one for sure. Hardwell, the former number one DJ of the world, makes an appearance again in hardstyle music and this time he does it with no one less than Wildstylez for a collaboration.
After they shared the stage during Amsterdam Dance Event together and worked in the studio with each other in that same month, the collab between the two of them was only a matter of time. And now it’s here: last weekend Hardwell played at The World’s Biggest Guestlist Festival in India, which he organized himself for his United We Are Foundation.
After Hardwell took the chance to mention his friend over the microphone (“Shout out to my buddy Wildstylez!”) during his set, he dropped his new collab with the hardstyle DJ. And so their track got premiered for the visitors and viewers and home via the livestream. Check out the video down below.
This is the new Hardwell & Wildstylez collab
As the new collab by Hardwell & Wildstylez is still it’s early stages, it’s not know yet what the title of the track is going to be. When and where the track is going to be released is going to be revealed later on. In a earlier interview we did with Hardwell, he mentioned that there’s a tiny chance that he will play a hardstyle set in the future: “There are no plans at the moment, but never say never.”
