Alongside the likes of Paces, Lastlings and CVIRO, Jake Carmody is leading the Gold Coast's musical renaissance and now delivers a crisp new track ‘Alone feat. Savoi’, for his debut release on Tinted Records. For this release, Jake has teamed up with Brisbane singer-songwriter Savoi, who has worked with the likes of Enschway, Yahtzel and most notably LDRU, on his hit track ‘Next To You’. The producers new track uses layers of ethereal and atmospheric sounds to pair with Savoi’s vocals which together build to what Jake does best, a futuristic, stuttering drop.

Jake discusses how the track came together "Alone is the mark I've been aiming at since I started making music. Savoi's vocals inspire me to be as daring and creative with as the production as possible. I'm attracted to textures and melodies more than structure and formulas. I wanted Alone to feel like an art house film, with twists and turns that break champion curiosity over convention."

Jake’s inspiration comes from an eclectic variety of influences, ranging from Lana Del Ray and Lorde all the way to What So Not and Hudson Mowhake, which has inspired the producer to construct something that is truly unique. The Gold Coast based artist has made a name for himself since producing an epic remix of Vance Joy’s cover of ‘Georgia On My Mind’. Dabbling in various other projects, Jake has garnered support from the likes of triple j, Pilerats and EDM Sauce.
‘Alone feat. Savoi’ is out now on Tinted Records.

Releasing their debut single ‘I Needed You feat. Nick De La Hoyde’ just last year, Sydney duo Boulevarde have impressed industry and fans alike with a songwriting sensibility well beyond their years. For the release of their follow up single ‘Plans’, they’ve teamed up with Melbourne singer/songwriter Aeora, who’s vocal delivery is nothing short of stunning; powerfully commanding whilst retaining beautifully raw and honest qualities.

Produced by the talented team over at Fat Poodle Productions, the release will be accompanied by the duo’s first official music video. Directed by award winning producer, Ellen Dedes-Vallas who’s previous work includes content for Nickelodeon and The Walt Disney Company, she finds a unique way of integrating Boulevarde and Aeora into the charming storyline of the clip.

On how the collaboration came to be, Boulevarde explains, “we’re always scouting for talented vocalists to work with, and we found this song on JJJ Unearthed by Aeora called Fenceline - it was so unique, so powerful and her vocal delivery just carried so much weight and emotion. It was one of those one’s where we were typing an email up before the song even ends.” WithAeora adding, “The lyrics and melodies came to me really quickly for this track. I was in this headspace of starting to realise I could feel content with how everything was going in my life and that I could just enjoy myself. I also really enjoyed the dynamic we created through working on this song together. It flowed really easily from my end when putting my ideas out there.”

Boulevarde’s new single ‘Plans’ is out now on Central Station Records.

Australia's biggest DJ export, Timmy Trumpet, is excited to reach brand new horizons this March. The Sydney born trumpeter, DJ and producer is getting ready to make history by becoming the first live instrumentalist to DJ from space! To celebrate this momentous occasion, Timmy is releasing a brand-new track, High. The enthusiastic effort is a collaboration with Aussie hip hop legends Bliss n Eso and US soul singer Lee Fields.

Timmy Trumpet is the acclaimed Australian jazz musician turned dance music extraordinaire. Always respectfully nodding to his classical roots, Timmy is a live instrumentalist with multiple Club Chart and Beatport number ones, not to mention over half a billion streams for his massive hit Freaks featuring Savage.

Since bursting onto the scene, Australian hip hop project Bliss N Eso have racked up millions of Spotify streams for an array of pop and urban infused hits with integral messages of positivity. Their informal and sincere approach to hip hop has translated into multiple ARIA number one albums and gold and platinum records.

As the track will inevitably sky rocket, we look forward to Timmy’s space premiere at the World Club Dome ‘Zero Gravity’ event, made possible by Big City Beats and the European Space Agency. As the part of the project Timmy joins fellow dance music pioneers Armin Van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, and Steve Aoki.  On the heavily anticipated March 25, Timmy will lift off from France, undertaking 16 parabolic flights each lasting 22 seconds as the vessel bounces off our atmosphere.

“Getting the opportunity to play my music up there is an honour and something that I've dreamed of since I was a kid. I've loved Bliss n Eso's work for years and when we started working together I knew this track was something special. I feel like I'm taking a part of Australian music culture on an unforgettable journey, sharing what we have created with the rest of the world." - TIMMY TRUMPET

New single High sees Timmy Trumpet and Bliss N Eso come together to deliver an upbeat, feel-good anthem. Meeting backstage at a festival in their homeland, the two artists from different sides of the musical spectrum now converge to deliver a slice of pop euphoria. Ready for an extra-terrestrial journey, Timmy continues to push the boundaries of just how far his music can go with this optimistic audio celebration. Ultimately reaching for the skies, Timmy & Bliss n Eso have created an important message that’s encouraging freedom to find confidence to find your own high.

Timmy Trumpet – High (feat Bliss n Eso feat. Lee Fields) is out now.

With all eyes on the debut of ULTRA Australia last weekend, both shows in Melbourne and Sydney on the 23rd and 24th of February were impeccably produced, record breaking events.

Kicking off at Melbourne’s stunning Flemington Racecourse before moving to the beautiful surroundings of Sydney’s Parramatta Park, the festival welcomed over 40,000 fans from across the globe to experience performances from the world’s most revered international artists.

For the first ULTRA Worldwide event of 2019, organisers pulled out all the stops, bringing their unparalleled production and world-class line-ups to Australia, giving fans the ultimate festival experience.  Marshmello, ILLENIUM and Slushii commanded the Main stage with electrifying performances, while Martin Garrix worked the crowds into frenzy as the sun set.  The Chainsmokers closed out both days to a rapturous response.

Making its much-anticipated debut on Australian shores, Joris Voorn was the first international act to take to the RESISTANCE stage.  Nicole Moudaber and Dubfire’s sensational b2b performance kept the crowds coming in thick and fast, while techno titan Adam Beyer left fans quite literally demanding more, as he closed out the inaugural RESISTANCE Australia on both nights.

Australia’s local music scene was heavily represented on all three stages across the weekend, with the crowd going wild for local talent such as: Sunset Bros on the main stage, Steve Ward and Boogs on RESISTANCE and an array of talent over at UMF Radio including: Tigerlily, Mashd N Kutcher and Joel Fletcher to name just a few.

Organisers offered plenty of shaded areas and free water stations across the grounds of both venues.  With Summer still in full swing, event staff gave away complimentary caps, sunscreen and water to patrons upon entry throughout the weekend, to help keep them cool and comfortable.  Event organisers worked closely with the local authorities to ensure a strong police and medical presence, demonstrating their commitment to patron safety and security.

Ultra Australia will return in 2020.
