MasterClass, the premier online education platform, announced today that legendary DJ Armin van Buuren is teaching his first ever online class. The class is open for pre-enrollment starting today at www.masterclass.com/avb. Enrollment in the class is $90, or $180 per year for unlimited access to all new and existing MasterClasses with the All-Access Pass. Each enrollment option can also be given as a gift.
Armin van Buuren, one of the most influential figures in the global dance scene, has topped the Billboard charts, attracted tens of millions of worldwide listeners to his weekly radioshow “A State of Trance,” and landed a record-setting five No. 1 DJ awards from DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs. The Grammy-nominated artist’s work has spanned major evolutions in dance music, from spinning with vinyl in small clubs to headlining global dance festivals.
In his 20th year as an artist, van Buuren will share insights about what it takes to get established in the competitive and ever-changing business of dance music. Students will get an intimate look into the artist’s creative process as van Buuren creates a track from scratch specifically for his MasterClass. Aspiring producers will learn his pillars for becoming a world-class DJ—production, performance, and promotion. The class dives into the more technical aspects of producing, including mixing, arranging, and building dance-worthy drops.
“Nowadays, to be a successful artist and DJ, it’s not enough to just know how to spin records. If you want to stand out, you need to make your own records, write music, and make remixes and mashups for your DJ sets. I’m truly excited to share my passion for producing music and DJing in my MasterClass,” said Armin van Buuren, MasterClass instructor. “It’s the first time I get to show you my secrets and tips, and everything I’ve learned in my twenty years in this business.”

“Armin is an international icon of dance music. Despite his musical genius, he has stayed humble, hard-working, earnestly connected to his fans, and has never lost sight of the joy in his work. His passion for teaching is infectious. There really is an art and science to making people dance — it has to do with sculpting sound, mixing, and arranging songs for maximum impact — that’s Armin’s mastery, and he’s certainly one of the best to ever do it,” said David Rogier, CEO and Co-Founder of MasterClass.
MasterClass is an online education company which provides classes from world-renowned instructors, making it possible for anyone to learn from the best. Each class offers a unique learning experience which includes video lessons from the instructor, interactive exercises, course materials, peer interaction, and more. All classes are available online for individual purchase at www.masterclass.com.

Rielism releases two new tracks, one under Rielism label and one on Rielism Elements.
Andre Visior & DJ T.H. with Kimberly Hale – My Redemption [Rielism 070]

Something special is on the plate here at Rielism for our next release. ‘My Redemption’ is an authentic trance masterpiece from label debutants Andre Visior and DJ T.H. featuring the unique voice of Kimberly Hale. This is trance just how we love it! An intricate production with a darker feel backed up perfectly by an incredible vocal performance.

Andres Sanchez – El Ultimo Dia [Elements 003]

This is undeniably one of Andres Sanchez’s toughest and most forward thinking tech-trance releases so far, having previously released on labels such as Armada, FSOE and Flashover to name but a few. As featured on Rielism Four (compiled and mixed by Sied van Riel), ‘El Ultimo Dia’ is armed to the teeth with a colossal bassline, a belting euphoric melody and supercharged detuned and acidic synths. A perfect fit for the Rielism Elements imprint!
      Both tracks are out now!

Back in 2010 we released an album that was to defy all expectations. Having received a collection of various chillout remixes from our catalogue, we release “Chilled Trance”. To this day it remains one of our biggest selling albums and the concept of Chilled Trance was born.
Fast forward to 2017 and the project is reborn but with a typical Discover Records style twist. Step forward Chris Voro.
A prolific electronic music producer and DJ – who floats seamlessly between genres that includes breaks, trance, psychedelic trance and ambient. A true follower of the darkest side of electronic music, he infuses his productions and sets with a multitude of emotions, resulting in an underground vibe that captures the mind.
Supported by legendary names of the trance, breaks and chillout scenes, including Paul Oakenfold, John Askew, Aly & Fila, Activa, Simon Patterson, The Crystal Method, Sean Tyas, Mark Sherry, Grum, Beatman & Ludmilla, Far Too Loud, Pale Penguin, Sketi, Fisso & Spark, Ryan Farish and more, the list speaks for itself.
Already an artist and supporter of the Discover Records family, his vision was to create a selection of chilled remixes of classic tracks from within the labels back catalogue. More of an artist album than a traditional compilation, Chris Voro and his fellow collaborators has taken original mixes from artists including John Askew, Activa, Sean Tyas, Greg Downey, Bryan Kearney, John O’Callaghan, Para X and Aly and Fila and applied a unique chilled vibe to create some simply superb genre redefining remixes.
These are not just classic chillout remixes, but more of an analog cinematic approach to the originals.
“Innovative, atmospheric and thought-provoking” Mixmag 8/10
A hugely personal album for Chris Voro for many reasons – it definitely wears its heart on its sleeve whilst equally standing as an album of quality electronica of the highest possible order.
Chilled Trance, Vol. 2 will be out September 18, 2017 on Beatport.
      Tracklist:
      01. Activa – Rise Above (Chris Voro ReChill)
      02. Para X – World Of Illusion (Chris Voro ReChill)
      03. Greg Downey – Vivid Intent (Chris Voro ReChill)
      04. Sean Tyas – Lift (Chris Voro & Ode ReChill)
      05. Inertia – The System (Chris Voro & John Dopping ReChill)
      06. John Askew – How Can I Put This (Chris Voro & Chris Oblivion ReChill)
      07. Aly & Fila vs Amadeus – A Dream Of Peace (Chris Voro & One Arc Degree ReChill)
      08. Michael Lee – Everblue (Chris Voro ReChill)

After the blistering first tastes of his new Purple Haze project on previous singles Contrast and Neiloj, the mighty Sander van Doorn presents the final taster from his alter ego before he unleashes its debut album on October 9th. Choir 1.0 is here and it’s a monster of a track. This enormous anthem takes the essence of what makes Sander’s music great—melody, emotion, groove, power and atmospherics—and filters it through the refined prism of his new split personality.
      Get it here – https://purplehaze.lnk.to/Choir
A dramatic percussive fill announces the track’s arrival, and immediately the strong melodic content is centre stage, with delicate plucked and digital synthesis arpeggios doing battle with each other and muted chords building a euphoric progression. A bold, pulsing lead lead line cuts through the track to heighten the tension before the arps really let loose. Trance energy filters up for the build, slamming us into gently driving live percussive rhythms, the spine-tingling riffs building and building further.
Yet another synth sound is drafted in for the main break, a vocal choir style synth that gives the track its title and provides a brief respite from the intense musicality of the track. A huge swathe of synths blasts into its way, and after more melodic teasing we’re rewarded with a hugely satisfying drop. No excessive FX and never-ending reverbs: just an impressive variety of strong, rousing melodies ebbing and flowing to varying levels of intensity. It makes for one hell of a four-minute ride.
Choir 1.0 precedes the full-length Purple Haze debut album, which drops to much anticipation on October 9th. On the strength of this and the previous two singles, it’s going to be something truly special.
Tickets for the Purple Haze Album Release Party during ADE are available here.
Purple Haze ‘Choir 1.0’ is released via DOORN Records on September 4. Check out Choir 1.0 via your favorite streaming partner here: https://PurpleHaze.lnk.to/Choir and expect the official video on September 11th.
