  • New Track TIME by Go Freek - Released Today

    Nordic-By-Nature

Tech-house aficionados, Go Freek are back with their new single ‘Time’, proving a little time off doesn’t change a thing.

Dynamic and experimental, Go Freek embrace the darker side of builds and the sharper side of drops creating a club track that stands out from the pack.

Already being given the tick of approval from club guru’s such as Claptone, Vanilla Ace, Don Diablo, Roger Sanchez and Lee Foss, ‘Time’ is looking to be added to their plethora of club hits and chart toppers.

Go Freek on ‘Time’, "This was produced for dance floors. It’s a fun record designed to hypnotise and aid listeners in losing track of Time."

Go Freek have carved their name into the global dance music scene with singles such as ‘Define’, the collaboration with Dom Dolla that garnered an amazing 13 million online streams , ‘Call Out’, that reached #2 on the ARIA club charts in 2016 and ‘Put It Down’ reaching #2 on the ARIA club charts in 2017. Enabling the boys to gain support and work alongside global names such as Porter Robinson, Diplo, Claude Vonstroke, Steve Aoki and label-mate What So Not.

Well, here is a new mix from me: something compiled, executed and delivered, just because...

Since we kicked off our  Hello guest! Please register or sign in to view the hidden content.  project last year; the vast majority of my DJ'ing has been centred around a housier, disco-centric sound—for which Attic is known—for both, our own events and other ad hoc DJ bookings in around town.

Of course, we love our Attic sound, however; during this last little while—somewhat regrettably—I've not had much of an opportunity to sit back and relish in some other musical guilty pleasures. This particular line-up of deeper, melodic selections has allowed me to do just that. This is a very much an indulgent mix—let's make no mistake about that.

Within, you'll hear some newer pieces; you'll hear some that I had stashed away for such an opportunity. Each track has moved me or has made me feel something.

It's melodic, it's moody and if I've done my job correctly; you'll be taken on a journey for next 80 minutes or so.

I really hope you dig this one.

Showing a whole other side to his artistic brilliance, Andrew Rayel teams up with super producer Garibay for this new, steamy and pop-scented single.  With Jake Torrey on vocals and a flurry of laidback grooves and catchy guitar plucks to boot, ‘Last Summer’ is bound to be the best one yet!

      About Andrew Rayel:
He's the modern-day Mozart -- today's leading talent in the ever-growing electronic dance music scene.  He's the pride of Moldova, known for his unique and very own sound.  He is Andrei Rata, better known as Andrew Rayel.

Born on July 21st, 1992, his young age never stopped him from taking the lead amongst the next generation of EDM producers.  Developing strong musical skills, he studied orchestral music and kicked off his producing career at only 13 years of age.  It didn't take long for the passionate music lover to translate his ideas into sounds.  He created a truly unique sonic signature - one of piano power, harmonic balance, and euphoric tales.  And so, years later, his originals and remixes are praised by many and loved by more.  But, rest assured, the Andrew Rayel story has only just begun.

“Trance was the perfect solution, as it is a combination of melody, harmony and energy, elements that I prefer the most," says Andrew Rayel.  Having Armin van Buuren supporting his tracks on the world famous ‘A State of Trance’ radio show had always been a dream of Andrew’s.  Sometimes, dreams come true.  His tracks: '550 Senta,' 'How Do I Know' ft. Jano, 'Aeon of Revenge,' 'Once in a Lifetime Love,' ' My Reflections,' 'Horizon,' 'I’ll Be There,' ‘Dark Warrior,’ ‘One in a Million’ and much more all made it to the show, often voted ‘Tune of the Week’ and ‘Future Favourite.’ The trance scene embraced Andrew's refreshing sound, giving him a very warm welcome.

Andrew’s tracks found a solid home on the ‘A State of Trance’ and ‘Armind’ labels, both part of the Armada Music family.  With such impressive originals, it didn't take long until the Rayel sound became hot property for remixes.  Andrew was lucky enough to take on remix duties for tracks by: Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, W&W, Dash Berlin and many more. Earning the support of the DJ elite, the Rayel sound has spread all across the globe, from underground clubs to mainstream festivals.

Although Andrew’s career is still in its early stages, Andrew has already DJ’d at the world's most legendary clubs and massive festivals. From Kazantip, Global Gathering, Creamfields, A State of Trance, Trancefusion, Transmission, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnivals, Ball En Blanc and much more.  Not to forget performing and selling out world-wide venues such as: New City Gas, Exchange LA, Marquee New York, Ruby Sky San Francisco, Zouk Kuala Lumpur & Singapore, Colosseum in Jakarta, not to forget the magical Island ‘Ibiza’ in which he has performed at clubs such as: Ushuaïa, Amnesia, & Privilege and more, as well as earning a Las Vegas Residency at the age of 21 at Marquee Las Vegas.

As a result of his hard work and dedication, fans voted him to become one of the Top 100 DJs in the world, as well as breakout DJ & Producer and highest climber in the poll voting, alongside many world-wide nominations such as the IDMA (International Dance Music Awards) which is hosted yearly in Miami during Winter Music Conference week.

2014 was the year that saw the first ever artist album from Andrew Rayel entitled: ‘Find Your Harmony’ which has taken the world by storm, alongside his sensational hit collaboration with Armin van Buuren: ‘EIFORYA.’ Andrew Rayel is now an artist that has released 2 artists albums on his home label ‘Armada Music.’ In 2014 ‘Find Your Harmony’ was released as the first ever artist album, followed up by ‘MOMENTS’ in 2017 and establishing his own record label under the Armada umbrella in 2018 with ‘inHarmony Music.’

The road to success has just begun and Andrew Rayel is ready to take on the world in the years ahead. "I believe music is a universal language that unites people with nothing but love.  I intend to make sure that my tracks are all about emotions and happiness.  That's what's driving music, making the world a better place," says Andrew Rayel.

With the success of his new sound in his Get It Started EP Alex Preston continues to take us on a glorious journey of infectious grooves and driving beats in his new Friday Night EP, out now on Basement Sound.

Alex kicks off the EP with title track Friday Night, a bass stomping gem that features Alex Preston’s organic guitar riffs and vocal chops that make for the ideal disco-tinged jam. Next up is Hip Shakin’ Mumma, (that will find you shaking your hips for sure) with its playful key stabs, soaring strings and guitar solos that are accompanied by a toe-tapping vocal. Drawing the sun-soaked EP to a close is Don’t You Mind featuring a jacking guitar lead and shuffling beats making the Friday Night EP the perfect soundtrack to your funk-filled night out.

Speaking on the release Alex tells us: “I’m really stoked with how my “Friday Night” EP turned out. When I was putting the EP together, I wanted to have 3 club tracks that embodied what I love about house music. I wanted each track to have a different feel but I also wanted to be able to play them in my live show and have them work together.”

Shut away in the studio for months, Alex Preston created his own style of disco infused underground house featuring his live guitar and percussion. Along with the sound re-invention, this year sees Alex Preston announce his new live show where elements used in his productions will make a live appearance to support his new style and releases. Expect live guitar licks, cosmic basslines and warm pulsating house beats as the multi-talented artist brings his productions to life. To celebrate the Friday Night EP release, Basement Sound will be hosting Alex's Friday EP Launch at their first “Basement Beach” party at Sydney’s iconic Manly Beach on the 27th July - Basement Beach 001 feat. Alex Preston (Live) at BRKLYN (Sugar Lounge Basement)!

“The French two-piece who are beginning to build a real name for themselves” - YOU
Thrown into the electronic and hip-hop music scene at a young age, Trinix’s musical journey has developed into a sweet revival of the 90’s originated genre: French Touch. New effort Otherside continues this pop tinged, riff filled musical restoration. The exploration hits us with a sense of Trinix’s mesmerising production skill, expertly refined over the years.
In 2017, the two young French producers released their Hide EP that reached an incredible 15 million streams. Having always received strong support from youtube tastemakers MrSuicideSheep and Chill Nation, Trinix continue to distil their various influences in a skilful and modern mix. They oscillate between electro chill, tropical house, nu-funk and future bass in the most sophisticated of ways.
To continue the ride, more recent releases like tropical house track Close to Me build suspense in anticipation for their upcoming album release. With a total of 75 million streams and rising, it’s safe to say fans are eagerly awaiting their next promised body of work, May Day.
As Trinix’s first ever album, May Day comes after 2 years of solid work from the pair. The boys tell us: "The major theme of the album is the Space which we find fascinating by its diversity and which we absolutely want to symbolize thanks to "Mayday". All the titles have been selected with great difficulty and doubt among more than 60 compositions, to obtain a coherent and representative rendering of our Music".
Ahead of the upcoming album release, this new single is composed with a seriously funky rhythm, formidable chopped vocals and the deliciously soulful voice of Opé Smith. Otherside transforms what you know to be pop-house and adds delectably emotive lyrics to Trinix’s clean cut and consistently seamless production.

Here is a fresh new mix from us—and one that definitely gives us the warm and fuzzies!
      So, our '
Hello guest! Please register or sign in to view the hidden content. ' brand as a whole, the music we push—and, indeed, Andrew and I as individual DJs—is often centred around music on the lower, slower, deeper, warm-up tip. That is a label we've always worn with pride. Well, in this instance, our good friend, Flynn—of 'Move 4 Mood' fame—was kind enough to book us for a "peak time" set at The Flinders, and, with that, an opportunity to exercise our tougher, uptempo selections; as such, we did just that!
We were fortunate to enjoy a heaving, packed dance floor from start to finish, and we delivered a strong selection of suitable cuts—all while staying fairly true to our Attic sound. The crowd response was phenomenal and we had a wonderful time making it all happen—hence the "warm and fuzzies" mentioned above!
Hope you enjoy this one as much as we did!
