Next Skrillex Single Revealed via iTunes Pre-Order

Apart from an actual album or EP, 2017 has probably shown the most Skrillex releases in a single year since the producer’s rise to fame. Whether it’s collaborations, production credits, or new originals, there’s no doubt that Skrillex has been keeping busy.

And thanks to the sleuths at /r/Skrillex, his next track has just been revealed – title, release date and all. Skrillex’s next track will be a feature on NSTASIA’s new single, “Parachute,” out next Tuesday, November 7. The genre tags on the track are listed as “R&B/Soul,” so it might even sound something like his last collaboration with NSTASIA and Vindata earlier this year, “Favor.”

Check out the pre-order details below.

SKIY has brought her authentic techy house sound to world-renowned Spinnin’ Deep. Titled Quiggin, the club-focused single sees SKIY flex her deft production abilities, showing the world her credibility not only behind the decks but in the studio as well. Brimming with energy and musicality, Quiggin is SKIY’s first release of 2019, kicking off what is poised to be her biggest year to date.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2017 with a slew of releases, SKIY has kept herself busy both as an international DJ and blossoming producer, crafting a vibrant dancefloor sound. She’s DJed acclaimed shows in Germany alongside the likes of Timmy Trumpet and Tiesto while global superstar Oliver Heldens snapped up her last single, Who Got The Keys, singing it to his Heldeep Records. Strong preferential support has already come from the likes of The Magician, EDX, Chocolate Puma, Dillon Francis, and many more.

SKIY’s mother was a jazz singer while she herself is a trained pianist. A rich musical upbringing shared between Brazil, Germany and Croatia has enabled SKIY to pour a range of influences into her music, imbuing it with soulful grooves and clever musicality.

Quiggin makes no exception. Jittering drum patterns give way to bubbling synths and swirling fx while infectious vocal samples crescendo into a minimal hands-in-the-air moment. Underpinned by memorable arpeggios and quirky percussive melodies, Quiggin is sure to find its way into the record collection of the world’s biggest stars, taking SKIY’s own glittering career to new heights in the process.

Rising L.A.-based ambient electronic artist shallou proudly releases his new single 'count on' today, as his mammoth 20 date, sold out North American headline tour draws to an end. 'count on' sees shallou (real name Joe Boston) apply his trademark fragile, emotionally-laden narrative over soulful melody and otherworldly, pulsating beats; it's a beautiful moment to mark the end of a huge touring schedule and to see out what can only be described as a life-changing year for the prodigious artist.
The Maryland-born producer has had an exceptional 2018, performing worldwide, including a sold-out London date, and garnering over 235 million collective streams of his releases to date. He has been championed by FADER, Complex, NYLON, Clash, SPIN, SiriusXM and even had his face adorning a billboard in New York City’s Times Square.

In tandem with the release, shallou has unveiled a new video, which was filmed in a beautiful Icelandic setting - watch it here. As with his exquisitely curated Nomad Series before this, the clip is a stunning visual accompaniment to his sounds.

The single release is the follow up to shallou's seven track 'Souls EP', which was released earlier this year boasting a dynamic list of collaborators (Kasbo, RIAH, Cody Lovaas + more). Expect more music to come in 2019.

Corey Layzell is an up and coming artist that boasts over 3m Spotify streams from his steady flow of self-releases. Known as orchestral pop, Corey is a self-taught musician that quickly garnered support from BBC introducing and various New Music Friday playlists.  His new single, These Hands, is another emotive exploration of his more pop tinged song writing style.

This Essex based singer/songwriter derived his sound from an obsession with choral work, and piano accompaniment. Previous releases include equally ambitious Broken Crayons, Blind and What Love Is all feature his own lyrics, melodies, accompaniment and vocals. Enjoying solo work, Corey always promises a vocal heavy extravaganza after carefully crafted his sound from genuine musical curiosity within the home. A few years later and his skillset amasses over six instruments… and counting!

Described as ‘wild and fantastic’ by BBC Introducing’s Ollie Winniberg, Corey has a side to him that feels refreshingly untamed and utterly authentic. Corey uses heartfelt, guttural vocals to depict real life struggles after his journey from a hard upbringing, to his eventually happily ever after. Still making music from his hometown, Corey draws influence from pop giants like Sia and Ed Sheeran.

New single These Hands brims with pop infused harmonies and Corey’s obvious melisma skills. Fighting for love once more, this is a powerful and undeniably beautiful depiction of the shameless risk one takes when falling in love. Dream like melodies lure you in, before soaring high into an epic final chorus that showcases a battle for the ultimate love story.

A birthday is a cause for celebration, and a time to reflect on the years that have passed. When Sweat It Out was founded, it was a platform to release and champion good music - starting with close friends, and soon after spreading to the wider music community. From the outset, standards were high and the music diverse, with the very first release of Gameboy/Gamegirl’s album ‘Golden Ghetto Sex’, and the second signing to the label, Killaqueenz with the anthemic single ‘Bitches’. To this day, regardless of experience, background or genre, to quote Ajax, it’s all about “shtick”. And to us, there was one track sitting in our music library collecting metaphorical dust, and now marking 10 years of Sweat It Out, we thought it time for this one to see the light of day. To the family, friends of Adrian “Ajax” Thomas, we hope you hear in this track what we have: his lively personality, his sense of humour, and most of all, pure unadulterated "shtick".

Accompanying the release, is a full music video created from the classic cartoon of Ajax's alter ego - walking past an art gallery of each Sweat It Out release artwork, again highlighting the evolution of the label over the past decade. With the initial wolf sketch created by OG Sweat designer Billmund, responsible for the creation of the iconic Sweat shoes, we were delighted to have his team on board to create this piece with us. Animated by Katy Ross, and polished by Walt Disney animator, Nick Harrop, they have given the wolf the style and swagger reminiscent of our main man Ajax.

‘I’m Hot’ is taken from the wider release ‘Sweat It Out 2008 - 2018’, which is not only a celebration of the legacy of Ajax, but the successes the label has seen over the years. With side A focusing on the Dance Legend himself, the full release features 16 tracks carefully picked from a very Sweaty catalogue of over 217 releases to date. From iconic moments like the first release, to office favourites, and the first couple of acts to break-out globally, it is both a momentous and meaningful summary of what has been achieved. And furthermore, we look forward to another 10 years of celebrating great music and great people, in loving memory of Ajax.

Ajax ‘I’m Hot’ and Sweat It Out 2008 - 2018 are out now on Sweat It Out, and available via all leading music retailers.
