Pete Tong set to release ‘Ibiza Classics’ album

    Guest

Pete Tong is set to debut his critically-acclaimed Ibiza Classics show at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl this November. The indelible occasion marks Tong’s US debut with The Heritage Orchestra, overseen by director Chris Wheeler and conductor Jules Buckley.

In celebration of the occasion, Tong has decided that Ibiza Classics will be released as a full-length album on December 1.

Ibiza Classics is set to follow up his 2016 No. 1 album Classic House, the UK’s bestselling debut record in 2016, which has sold more than 270,000 copies to date. On Ibiza Classics, Tong combines the euphoria of touring his last work, alongside the decades of immersion in dance music culture, and lessons from his newfound peers Buckley and the Heritage Orchestra.

Ibiza Classics was recorded at producer Mark Ralph’s studio in west London and programmer Dennis White’s studio in Putney.

“They were like the Creative Control Centres of the thing,” says Tong of the two.

“Last time it was performance first, record second, but this time I started the project from a programming and arrangement perspective with Mark and Dennis. Then we had the Heritage Orchestra’s band going into the studio and playing on top of what we did and adding in the live elements.” For the final recording steps, Buckley arranged the tracks for the wider, 65-piece Heritage Orchestra, over just five days in London’s Air Studios.

Considering Tong’s propensity on this record for the marrying of dance music enthusiasm and its incessantly detail-oriented recording process, the record’s shaping up to be one of his most exhilarating works to date. “It feels appropriate to be celebrating the legacy of dance music,” he says. “This is the soundtrack to so many people’s lives.”

Australian psytrance duo Pysborg & Gigabit are proud to announce the release of their latest new track Ectenic Forces OUT NOW on  BNU Records and also available on Beatport, Apple Music and all good music retailers.

Best described as a unique hybrid of melodic psytrance and big beat breaks combined this track delivers something truly different. The song title Ectenic Forces refers to supposed physical forces emitted by the human mind. The track is inspired by the human condition and the psychic force that connects us all.

Their previous track Synchronicity released via Demon Tea Records celebrated the theory that we are all connected with our interactions not just by coincidence but rather as part of a bigger picture. A picture that we are all a part of painted with the spirit of a dancer or etched in dancefloor dust.

Hardwell is the seasoned-veteran DJ/producer that’s behind Spinnin’s mammoth new tune. Boasting multiple international new music Friday playlists already, How You Love Me is a pop infused single that features the hugely respected artists, Conor Maynard and Snoop Dogg.

As one of the leading pioneers in the world of electronic music, Hardwell runs his award-winning label as well as directing award-winning documentaries. All whilst tending to a cool 9 million on Facebook (and rising). Hardwell’s impressive plethora of work includes collaborations with Craig David, Jason Derulo and Austine Mahone. Having filled numerous headline slots at the biggest world-wide events, Hardwell has graced the stages of Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza among others. Recently expanding his extensive reach with unique projects such as a live orchestra show at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event. In addition, his Indian United We Are and Guestlist4good charity shows saw remarkable attendance. A hundred thousand people joined in order to aid children educationally within the Magic Bus program.

Pop sensation Conor Maynard is an artist who also boasts many strings to his bow. As the man behind vast Spotify streams, Conor’s incessantly up beat personality and determination has seen him gain the role of Charlie Price in the Tony award winning musical Kinky Boots, chart in over 25 countries, and reach an incredible 118m streams with another Spinnin release, Whenever.

Kicking off with the iconic voice of Snoop Dogg, Conor Maynard follows with a heavy dose of pop flavour with the subtle addition of shy Conor styled sexiness. How You Love Me is a sunny exploration from three monster’s in the music industry, flexing their musical muscles to provide us with a champagne filled celebration with the swagger of smug love.

For the past couple of years DJ Mag has used Top 100 DJs data to calculate and reflect the international popularity of DJs from the house and techno scenes.

With the continuing commercial dominance of EDM, these genres have been on the periphery of the global poll in recent years, despite commanding huge audiences worldwide.
Now, for the first time, this poll is co-presented by Beatport, integrating sales trend data alongside votes from DJ Mag fans to create the Alternative Top 100 DJs chart — a way to recognise the incredible popularity of these scenes.

Following on from epic originals and impeccable remixes earlier this year, you’d think Benson had already reached the pinnacle of 2018. Yet as we move into the latter part, his next release featuring Stace Cadet and Yeah Boy continues to see Benson rise above the ranks. Releasing on his own esteemed Medium Rare label, check out heavenly collaboration – Faith.

Glorious chords and an impelling vocal graces the track with ethereal touches whilst the euphoric bass line ascends this psalm into clubbers paradise, making Faith a moving piece of house music fortified with saintly credibility. A club ready anthem as well as a peak time track, Benson is set to reach listeners of biblical proportion.

Having already had an exceptional year, Benson’s career continues to skyrocket. The Australian producer has accumulated millions of streams with the likes of originals including Hold Out and a remix of Stace Cadet’s High. Not stopping there, Benson is also dominating our airwaves with national airplay whilst securing an in demand residency slot with triple J. Gig-wise, Benson impressively launched a sold-out headline tour, clearly demonstrating himself as an artist of prominence we can’t wait to see where Benson takes us next on his musical journey.

Benson – Faith ft. Stace Cadet and Yeah Boy is out now via Medium Rare Recordings.
